History
RTI (Restaurant Technology, Inc.) began in 1978 with two restaurant owners who had a vision of how to harness the power of early personal computers to address the unique needs of their business. Soon they expanded that vision to share their success with other restaurant operators. The first software system they developed, ROS (Restaurant Operating System), is actually still used today by a few restaurant operators, more than 20 years after its original development.
But things have definitely changed since 1978. Through the creation of four additional software systems for the restaurant industry, RTI’s systems have evolved into a state-of-the-art software package for restaurant accounting, inventory, and labor scheduling.
Through these years, we’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most familiar names in food service: Wendy’s, Arby’s, McDonald’s, Burger King, Bear Rock Cafe, Carl’s Jr., Panera Bread, Zaxby’s, Taco Bell, and others. We’ve grown from a small software developer to an industry leader, currently providing software and services to over 9,000 restaurants in North America.
We attribute this growth to two things:
1) First, we develop only “restaurant-specific” software specifically designed to meet the unique needs of the restaurant industry; and
2) We create unprecedented value for our customers by providing solutions which help them increase profits by improving operating efficiency.
RTI develops software systems that take advantage of newly emerging technology, but we’ve taken that one step further. We are a part of the force behind that technology, shaping it to fit your needs. RTI is the software specialist for the restaurant industry.
