RTI Names Neal Starkey as President and COO, Makes Other Key Appointments
RTI, Inc., revises top management roles as it plans for business growth.
ATLANTA — Jim Clutter, owner/founder of RTI, Inc. has announced a management restructure of the restaurant operations and accounting software company, including several key appointments. He said the changes come in response to business growth demands and the company’s plan of strategic objectives.
Neal Starkey, a 28-year company veteran who had been Executive Vice President and had overseen the Software Development Department, has been named President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Clutter, who had been President since the inception of the company, is now Chief Executive Officer.
In other appointments, Greg Waddell was promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Chris Windham was named Vice President of Client Services.
“These appointments recognize the personal and professional strengths of these individuals and their contributions to our organization,” said Mr. Clutter. “I am confident in their abilities to strengthen our operational excellence and reach our strategic objectives—primarily of assisting our customers in increasing their profitability through use of RTI’s software and systems.”
Mr. Starkey joined RTI in 1983 as a software developer, a role he held for less than three years before being named Software Development Manager. He was named Vice President in 1996 and Executive Vice President in 2001. He has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University.
Mr. Waddell’s career at RTI began in 1995 as a customer support representative. He then served as National Sales Manager and most recently was Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining RTI, he owned a franchised restaurant. Mr. Waddell holds a B.S. degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from Georgia State University.
Mr. Windham had been Client Services Manager since 2006, moving into customer service from a role as RTI’s Manager of Internal Systems Technology. Before RTI, Mr. Windham was project manager at ERC. He earned his B.B.A. at Georgia College.
