RTIconnect™ Stays on the Job—Even During Internet Outages
RTI adds Offline capability to the latest release of RTIconnect, enabling restaurant managers to continue critical tasks even if they temporarily lose Internet access.
ATLANTA — Thanks to a new offline mode, restaurant managers who lose their Internet connection don’t have to wait to enter critical inventory, sales, and labor information in their RTIconnect™ Back Office software. This new benefit is among many enhancements offered in the latest release of RTIconnect, a Web-based restaurant management and enterprise reporting system developed by RTI, Inc.
RTI is among the first back office providers to provide an offline mode for restaurant operators. The new offline mode provides access to certain system features, allowing managers to avoid frustrating interruptions in their daily tasks—and enter inventories, end-of-day closing, and other important responsibilities that must be completed before they can go home at night—whether their Internet connection provides access to the centralized RTIconnect database or not.
If Internet connectivity is lost, RTIconnect automatically switches to offline mode, leaving many of the critical features of the application accessible. Work done in offline mode is saved locally in the restaurant, and is automatically transferred back to the central database as soon as the Internet connection is restored.
“This is an exciting advance for our clients,” said Greg Waddell, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for RTI. “Having an offline mode capability is a huge value to restaurant managers, enabling them to remain efficient and productive even if they occasionally lose connectivity. RTI is committed to giving our clients the most up-to-date technology available; the investment and development of offline mode demonstrates our commitment to providing powerful, innovative new tools to help our clients improve their operations.”
