RTI Team Supports Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
Local software company employees join thousands in annual 5K run/walk cancer-cure fundraiser.
ATLANTA — Wearing “RTI Cares” pink and white t-shirts, employees of RTI, Inc., were out of their cubicles on Saturday May 7, 2011, to support the 2011 Susan G. Komen Atlanta 5K Walk/Run Race for the Cure at Atlantic Station in Atlanta. An estimated 18,000 people participated in the 3.1 mile event, with a goal of raising $2 million.
The annual 5K run/walk is sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and is Georgia’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer. This year marked the 21st anniversary of the event.
