RTI Adds Electronic Ordering for Gordon Food Service and CFM Food Distributors

Quick Service restaurants can now receive order guides and place their food orders electronically with GFS and CFM through their RTIconnect software.

ATLANTA —Restaurant Technology, Inc. (RTI), announces the addition of Gordon Food Service (GFS) and CFM Food Distributors (CFM) as new RTI Supply Chain Partners. This affiliation enables these two foodservice distributors to provide electronic ordering to their customers using RTIconnect™, RTI’s Web-based back office software for restaurants.

By implementing the RTI interface, GFS and CFM can receive orders from RTIconnect users via the Internet and download food order guides (product catalogs) to the restaurants. The result is improved speed and accuracy of ordering, and assurance that the restaurants’ inventory item lists are up-to-date with correct pricing, packaging units, and inventory item numbers.

RTI added the two new partner interfaces at the request of clients, including Moe’s Southwest Grill,
that use RTIconnect to calculate their food orders.
RTIconnect simplifies the food ordering process by recommending order quantities based on forecast sales, inventory on-hand and in transit, and optional safety factors. Restaurant managers can adjust orders if needed and then send them electronically to their distributor.

Gordon Food Service, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., is the largest family-owned and operated distributor in North America and has been in the foodservice business for more than 100 years. CFM, founded in 1924, is headquartered in Watertown, N.Y., and is a member of Pocahontas USA, a unit of Progressive Group Alliance.
