Two Ways to Poll
Polling with a Schedule
It’s 3:30am and you are sound asleep. A computer in your office leaps into action even though no one is there. The computer calls each one of your restaurants and retrieves the previous day's sales, hourly data, product mix and payroll info, even though your restaurants use a variety of POS types. When you walk into your office a few hours later, your previous day's information is ready for you!
Communications comes complete with pre-built schedules and retrieves the information you feel is most important for your business decisions. For example, when you select “Overnight Poll,” the software collects data after each of your restaurants closes.
From time to time you may need to change your schedules. Schedules are very flexible. You can set up a schedule to poll specific daily information and in the same schedule poll weekly or semi-monthly information. With a schedule you don't have to remember what data to request each day. The schedule also gives you the ability to poll over an extended period of time, unattended (vacations!).
On Demand Polling
Polling immediately (or “on demand”) allows you to retrieve information immediately for a selected restaurant. When polling on demand, you choose the location, type of information, and the time frame for the data to be polled. Depending on your POS, you may be able to get up-to-the-minute information on how your store is running.
