Adding a New Workstation to the Network

Prior to beginning these steps, contact RTI Client Services at 800-937-1290 for the most current network workstation requirements for mapping of network drive, memory, etc.

Below are the steps for adding a new workstation to the network for RTI 2000 RFS and RMS applications.  BEFORE performing the following steps, all users must be off the network.

1. Each workstation must be assigned a unique 3-digit terminal number from 001 to 099 and must indicate the network drive where RTI data and programs reside.

·       To determine the terminal numbers assigned to existing workstations:
--go to either the Restaurant Financial System or Restaurant Management System Main Menu,
--select Utilities then select Technical Information,
--
select System Information.
The terminal numbers and user names will display under Network Information.

·       To determine the network drive:
--go to either the Restaurant Financial System or Restaurant Management System Main Menu,
--select Utilities and then select Technical Information.
--If you are in RFS, select RFS Company #XX Information.
--If you are in RMS, select RMS Application Information.
Each application will be listed along with the program and data drive where each are located.

2. Log in to the network on the new workstation.

3. Enter RTI 2000 on the new workstation. When prompted, enter the new terminal number for this workstation.

That completes the steps for adding a workstation to the network.
